Black Hills Special Services Cooperative – Career Learning Center of the Black Hills Workforce Ready Program
The CLCBH has been providing assessments to businesses, government entities and nonprofit agencies for over 20 years. We welcome approximately 1,500 test takers annually, people seeking a vast range of professional assessment, licensure, certification, and entrance into educational programs. Test centers like this are rare across the sparsely populated Great Plains and Mountain West. Traveling from the Black Hills to Casper, Denver, Sioux Falls would pose a hardship not only for the test taker, but for his or her employer who would have to cover the position over a day or two. Businesses who have sent employees to other locations have contacted the CLCBH to offer various testing. Often times, the CLCBH has been successful in convincing a test center to allow offering that assessment onsite. Since applying, we have added the American Social Worker Board exam and expanded our tests for drone operators, which includes individuals and businesses who utilize drones for commercial purposes.
