A father recently came to us seeking assistance with a past-due water bill. He shared that he had never needed to ask for help before and found it difficult to do so, but his family had been facing several unexpected hardships. One child recently required medical surgery, while another needed oral surgery, creating significant medical and dental expenses. In addition, missed work related to caring for his children caused further financial strain. As these expenses quickly added up, the family fell behind on their water bill. Through our program, we were able to bring the account current, helping relieve immediate stress and ensuring the family could maintain essential utilities during a challenging time. The father expressed deep gratitude and relief for the assistance received.
