Catholic Social Services – Uplifting Parents
Joseph came to Uplifting Parents while pursuing his nursing degree as a single father. The program served as a sounding board for navigating the challenges of being a single parent while pursuing higher education. Being a single parent can be isolating, and Joseph valued the ability to meet and work with other parents in similar situations. The mentoring and peer connections gave him the support system he needed to persist through a demanding program. Today, Joseph is a registered nurse, a direct result of the mentoring, encouragement, and resources that Uplifting Parents provided during his educational journey.
