A 13-year-old girl came to Crisis Care due to significant self-harm and suicidal ideation. She was able to meet with a counselor and discuss stressors as well as learn new ways of coping with her emotions. Her parents informed us that she had been on a wait list for outpatient counseling and we were able to get the client set up with a counselor for outpatient counseling at Crisis Care beginning the following week. The client was able to stabilize and begin counseling within a week of discharge.
