NeighborWorks Dakota Home Resources – HUD Approved Housing Counseling
A woman was living in a trailer park in Belle Fourche caretaking two grandchildren. Wanting to provide better living space for her grandchildren she looked into purchasing a home. Not able to find anything in her budget, her realtor recommended NeighborWorks® DHR. She talked with a housing counselor and learned of services available. Taking advantage of counseling assistance to improve her financial assistance and attending the HERO homebuyer education course, she applied, and was approved, for down payment assistance increasing her homebuying budget. She moved into her newly installed Governor’s Home in late August.
