Black Hills Special Services Cooperative – Career Learning Center of the Black Hills Workforce Ready Program
BHSSC has established a partnership with EMT trainees from a nearby reservation bordering the Southern Hills. Upon completing their training, EMT cohorts now travel together to the Career Learning Center of the Black Hills Assessment Center for scheduled group testing, reducing transportation costs and allowing participants to test in a more familiar, supportive environment. Participants and program partners have shared positive feedback, noting that the group approach reduces stress and improves the overall testing experience. In cases where individuals do not pass on their first attempt, we have provided flexible retesting options outside of regular testing days. This success story reflects the level of service CLCBH strives to provide across the region: responsive, accessible, and centered on participant success. Unlike larger, high-volume testing centers in bigger cities, CLCBH prioritizes a comfortable, personalized experience supported by reliable, updated technology.
