A 12-year-old girl came into Crisis Care due to significant self-harm and suicidal thoughts. She was able to talk through her struggles with mental health and a specific struggle that she is facing at school that is worsening her suicidal thoughts. She was able to spend the night to help stabilize her suicidal and self-harm thoughts. She was able to have a family session to discuss what could happen to create more support for her moving forward. A plan was made that involved working with the school to help the client feel more comfortable and not have to face bullying and being around someone who had traumatized her. The client was able to discharge with a significant reduction in suicidal and self-harm risk with a plan of how to improve things in her life moving forward. She wrote a letter to the staff at Crisis Care saying that everyone was so nice and coming to Crisis Care had saved her life.
