Big Brothers Big Sisters-Community – Based Program (One-to-One Mentoring)
A Brother match is about to celebrate their one-year Matchiversay! A year ago, this pair was matched with the goal of helping the Little, a gifted math and science student, with his self-esteem. His Big is also very talented in these subjects as a student at SDSMT, and had been able to boost his Littles' confidence, helping him take pride in his academic abilities. Though their interests go beyond math and science, they have formed a bond over sports and have connected over friendly rivalries (NFL’s Bear’s & Vikings) and attending SDSMT football games. Each has talked about how happy they are to have been paired up together.
