Black Hills Area Habitat for Humanity
Megan is an electrical student at WDT, which is how she came to know about the Habitat Homeownership program. As she and her classmates partnered with Habitat to wire a home on Lemmon Ave, she talked with construction staff and other volunteers. Megan and her two boys resided at One Heart, where she had a chance to get back on her feet, pursue her education and begin to think about longer term goals. Poised to graduate from WDT in May, she is strongly considering applying for the Homeownership program as she feels ready to move her family from One Heart to another safe and stable living situation. Partnerships, conversation, and building community brought Megan consciousness of the housing solutions Habitat offers.
