Western South Dakota Community Action – Skillbuilding in Food Security
Kerry of the Hot Springs Community Garden trained 20 individuals through the 2024 Beginner Gardener program in collaboration with WSDCA.
She also utilized our commercial canning equipment to provide training in preserving garden produce to 10 participants, thus ensuring better utilization of garden production beyond the growing season.
Kerry also works with WSDCA and the HS Food pantry to provide access to seeds and education throughout the year and supports other Community Action program access.
