Black Hills Special Services Cooperative
Sosha, a parent from Hot Springs, shared her positive experience with the Families First program. Initially unsure of what to expect, she was immediately put at ease by Michelle, her program support staff.
“Michelle was welcoming, organized, and really listened to my concerns,” Sosha explained. Through the program, Sosha became more mindful and confident in handling parenting challenges. She valued the flexibility of home visits and appreciated being able to text Michelle for advice during the week.
Reflecting on her journey, she shared, “I wish I had leaned on Michelle even more. The support has been incredible.” Sosha encourages other families to try the program, noting its supportive and non-judgmental approach. “It’s a great resource for parents,” she said.
