Feeding South Dakota – BackPack Program
A third-grade student is currently enrolled in the BackPack Program here. Although she is struggling academically, she always remembers that she should receive a backpack on Fridays. If the delivery hasn’t arrived by lunchtime, she will check in with staff members to see if the backpack is still on their way.
The joy that the BackPack provides her, is nothing short of amazing. I am afraid to see what would happen to kids like her if this program did not exist.
