2-1-1 Helpline Center
A young mom of two children dialed 211 feeling defeated and anxious. She asked the 211 Specialist if there was any help to get a utility bill paid. She shared that due to some medical issues, she had fallen behind on bills and now had to pay past due bill or risk having her power turned off.
The 211 Specialist provided possible resources for her to contact for utility assistance and also explored other needs she might have, such as food resources. Having felt like no one would help her before calling, the young mom ended the call feeling more hopeful and supported.
