Christine, a devoted single mother, strives to provide a stable and loving home for her son, Tristen. As a neurodivergent child, Tristen requires significant supervision, specialized medical care, and behavioral support. Despite facing her own physical and mental health challenges, Christine works tirelessly to meet his needs.
After purchasing a mobile home, Christine was devastated to discover that one of the bathrooms had faulty plumbing due to improper repairs made by a previous owner. The financial burden of fixing the plumbing, on top of her daily responsibilities, felt overwhelming. Managing applications for assistance became an additional challenge.
Thankfully, with the support of Black Hills Area Habitat for Humanity, Christine received the help she needed. The Habitat team guided Christine through the application process and brought her bathroom back to functioning status. Because of this help and support, Christine is able to focus on her family’s well-being without the fear of financial instability.
