Two teenage brothers from Belle Fourche both struggled with bipolar disorder, anxiety and ADHD. The brothers’ conditions required consistent treatment with medication and ongoing counseling. The brothers found access to the care they needed from the unique system at the Community Health Center of the Black Hills. Thanks to UWBH’s voucher program at CHCBH, the brothers have been able to receive the medication and services they need at a reduced price.
This is just one story of one life changed. UWBH supports more than 40 different nonprofits serving the Black Hills and each one has hundreds of stories of lives changed thanks to your donation to UWBH.
When you partner with the United Way of the Black Hills, you’re partnering with organizations like the Community Health Center of the Black Hills that provides unconditional access to mental health services to the people of Belle Fourche.

498 People received financial stability services through affordable transportation, affordable housing, utility assistance, and the 2-1-1 Helpline to connect to other local resources.
246 Individuals connected with needed programs and supports through 2-1-1.
624 Children were able to participate in education programs including Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, Black Hills Reads programs and grants, after-school and mentorship programs.
302 People received health services like affordable mental health counseling, access to food and domestic violence shelter and resources.
