The 2024 Innovation Grant Period is currently closed. Stay tuned for more information about how to apply in 2025.
Black Hills Reads accepts “Innovation Grant” applications from non-profit organizations, schools, and government agencies who have ideas for innovative projects to help promote early literacy. We are looking for entities to share with us innovative approaches that incorporate one or more of our five pillar areas: school readiness, summer learning, school attendance, healthy readers, and parent engagement.
These funds may be used for any project that impacts children from birth through age 8. We highly encourage the collaboration of programs to allow entities to support each other in their efforts to help children prosper. This grant is open to all Black Hills communities.

When you go to the site, it should say United Way of the Black Hills on the top of the page. It should NOT ask for an organization code. If it does, try using the link with a different browser.
