Compass Point-Compass Point Inpatient and Outpatient Counseling Services

Compass Point, you reminded me what it was like to dance in the rain! It’s uncomfortable to be cold, not to be able to see and to be soaking wet. But it’s so damn beautiful to dance and jump and do cartwheels in the rain. I think of this when i think of the process of recovery. It’s uncomfortable really, but it’s beautiful. Every time I ugly cry because I miss Michael, there’s beauty in every tear, like memories of his life shedding from my eyes. There’s nothing like putting on a pair of fuzzy pants after getting drenched by the sky. That reminds me of my talks with Krisitina. Sticking my feet in the mud and then running in the grass, and how the grass washes off the mud…reminds me of saying good morning to Candy. Taking sage out in the rain and watching as the raindrops make the sage spark…reminds me of my deep talks with Molly. The process of my recovery is the beautiful, steep jumps in the rain as it pours on my face. Yes…I learned what doesn’t work for me and it hurt. But it taught me how to dance in the rain again, with wet, grassy feet…learned how to fall in love with the process, not the perfection. Thank you, Compass Point!!!
